I graduated from Reading University in 2013 with a B.A. (Hons) in Business Economics and began my career trading financial markets. This gave me a strong foundation in analysis, decision-making and managing high-pressure environments. However, I eventually felt drawn toward work with more purpose and people at its core.
This led me to retrain as a qualified teacher, specialising in business. Supporting young people in their development was incredibly rewarding, and teaching gave me valuable experience in communication, coaching, behaviour management and helping individuals achieve their potential. I worked in a school that supported pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs, which gave me real insight into the challenges many young people face and the importance of patience, empathy and stability.
These experiences naturally shaped my approach to leadership and recruitment. I bring that same people-centred mindset into Blue Heart Recruitment — focusing on understanding individuals, supporting their growth, and helping them move into roles where they can thrive. I’m passionate about building a recruitment service rooted in integrity, transparency and genuinely improving outcomes for both candidates and clients.
Alongside my education background, I am also a Rent Smart Wales approved landlord with experience in managing residential properties and maintaining them to a high standard. This has strengthened my understanding of compliance, safety, operational oversight and the responsibility that comes with providing high-quality services.
My combined experience in business, education and property management gives me a well-rounded, grounded perspective as Education Director at Blue Heart Recruitment. My goal is to ensure our teams feel supported, our processes remain robust, and that the candidates and clients we work with receive a consistent, ethical and high-quality service.
